Dr. B Kristie Low May 5, 2012 @ 9:53 pm Does the orthodontist whiten your teeth right after you get your braces off?? Or do you have to recommend it? if so, does it cost? facesortho May 7, 2012 @ 11:38 am Whitening your teeth after braces is an elective procedure. We recommend it alot, but it is not part of treatment. Your orthodontists may refer you to your general dentist to get it done. What we do is just sell the whitening gel and our patients can use it in their retainers. Great Question. Dr. B facesortho June 24, 2012 @ 11:05 pm Whitening your teeth will not damage your teeth if you use products obtained from your dentist. The Whitening gels can cause tooth sensitivity. When used under the supervision of a dentist they work very well with little problems. Great Question. Dr. B bubble714 August 16, 2012 @ 1:34 am Just use your hands lol. David Lehmann November 5, 2012 @ 9:03 pm How much does that gel cost approximately? facesortho November 6, 2012 @ 1:09 am In our office we charge $30 for enough gel to treat your teeth for 14 days, which is usually enough. As long as the retainers are the same type shown in the video. Dr. B Sarah Czarnecki August 11, 2013 @ 5:46 pm when you brushed your teeth, you looked like you didn’t use toothpaste (my computer may be slow) should i used toothpaste wen i brush my teeth at the end? Emily Burnette July 21, 2014 @ 12:41 am Hi, I have had my braces off for over three years. When I first got them off, the edges of my teeth were brighter than the rest of my teeth. I forgot what my orthodontist called this, but he told me to use something called MI paste. I still have a bit of brightness there. Will doing this make it worse? I use a non Florida toothpaste, just FYI.
