Hydrogen Peroxide will erode your enamel away.
December 22, 2011 @ 6:44 am
@RawChanneLife Thankyou, probably not good to use it all the time, maybe
just every now and then to help whiten. Sorry to hear you got sensitivity.
February 17, 2012 @ 9:02 pm
@berggonecrazy … and so do bleaching trays and whitening strips since
they also use hydrogen peroxide as their main ingredient.
March 31, 2012 @ 12:42 am
No, it won’t.
April 12, 2012 @ 1:06 pm
It won’t whiten teeth as a mouthwash. It needs to be in direct contact with
the tooth surface for at least 30 mins to oxidise the enamel – You need a
6% gel format and custom trays for whitening. It should only be used as a
mouthwash if you have gum disease and as a 7 day treatment under the
guidance of a dentist. Over use or prolonged use will damage the lining of
the mouth and tongue. Black hairy tongue and other conditions some of which
are irreversible are caused by extended use of HP.

I heard ammonia is great for this stuff. Someone try it and let me know how
it goes.
May 18, 2013 @ 7:54 am
I’m sure there is a cancer risk to this
June 24, 2013 @ 7:00 pm
I do not agree, that it is safe to purposely ingest any amount of hydrogen
peroxide even a few drops.it is dangerous if ingested.
July 7, 2013 @ 3:55 pm
That black hairy tongue thing is a bit worrying. I use one of these tooth
whitening gels which includes HP and I put a little on a mouth tray which
is specially moulded to my mouth and it is in direct contact with the teeth
only. Sometimes if I put a bit too much on my accident then it pushes up
and comes into contact with the gums a little which lightens them. But this
is rare. Is this safe do you think or am I risking any of the conditions
you mentioned? I don’t use it as mouthwash etc.

hydrogen peroxide is not a disinfectant.
August 28, 2013 @ 2:09 pm
Can hydrogen peroxide mixed with baking soda cure periodontal treatment ?
February 15, 2014 @ 11:42 pm
I wouldn’t listen to all the keyboard DMDs present in the comments section,
here…
You’d be stunned at how many people have been using hydrogen peroxide as a
mouthwash for decades with zero ill effects.
March 11, 2014 @ 12:23 am
I’ve used it for years. I’m 45, have drank coffee since I was a kid and
smoked for almost 30yrs and people wonder how I have pearly white teeth and
healthy gums.
My dentist told me the same thing, keep it up. This guy is spot on.

April 14, 2015 @ 8:49 pm
can you just use peroxide or do you have to use baking soda as well?
May 24, 2015 @ 2:46 pm
Don’t drink it, it’s very toxic and your body immediately breaks
hydrogenperoxide down with the enzyme catalase.
