Lemon has excellent teeth whitening capabilities. Mix lemon juice with sodium bicarbonate and apply the mixture to your teeth. Brush for at least three minutes and then rinse with cold water.
Repeat the procedure at least once a week, as excessive use of this mixture may damage the enamel.
Precautions for brushing teeth with soda bicarbonate
Although brushing soda bicarbonate is efficient and cheap, it is still not safe enough. Excessive use of baking soda can cause damage to the enamel resulting in sensitivity and increased risk of caries.
Baking soda helps to remove plaque but does not kill the bacteria and is therefore not recommended as a replacement of tooth decay. Also, soda can weaken the glue in those who wear a camera, which can cause dark spots on the teeth.
Occasional use of sodium is quite safe but be sure you are well informed about it before using it because excessive use can lead to unwanted results.
